I promised him I would do anything to give him the best life possible.

A woman with glasses and purple hair kisses a large black, white, and brown dog, which has its mouth open and tongue out, appearing happy.

But when Baloo began to experience muscle loss due to old age, I ran out of places to turn. Walks were becoming hard and I knew that I needed somewhere for him to swim. Where he could move without pain. And I could get him to easily. He loved swimming so much.

But therein lied the problem.

The river was way too dangerous. And, try as I might, setting up a pool in my basement, wasn’t an option.

Lakes were only safe a few months of the year. And I needed something now.

But it didn’t exist. And I was devastated.

So, we built it. For dogs like Baloo.

Membership starts at $169 per month.

We built a space where dogs can swim year-round.

A space where dogs get the opportunities that our climate doesn’t allow.

A space where we know they are safe.

A space where they can escape their day-to-day lives and feel pure joy.

And we can too.

A space that gives us the opportunity to make good on the promises we made them when they were young. And keep them feeling young, before they ever get old.

A space called Splash Canine Swim Club.

Indoor swimming pool with blue tile lining, a water slide, and a wooden deck area with artificial grass and a door in the background.

And we do things differently here.

We created a members-only canine swim club in Nisku, Alberta that is the first of its kind.

We started out by doing something a little crazy - we put a 66,000 litre pool in an industrial bay in Nisku. Next, we built ramps and docks, to allow for safe swimming and dock diving for the dogs that love a bit more thrill. We laid non-slip mats and turf, and heated the pool to make sure dogs are comfortable.

Speaking of comfort and safety - when you’re at Splash, you’re the only one here. Your appointment time is yours alone, so you don’t have to worry about unknown dogs bombarding yours while they’re doing their water aerobics.

Smartphone screen displaying a calendar and time slots for booking an appointment at Splash Canine Swim Club on November 11th, with times from 9:00 AM to 4:25 PM, Edmonton time zone.

Then we created flexibility with scheduling.

Our lives are busy enough - and you don’t need barriers to giving your dogs the best lives possible.

Which means we are open 7 days a week, 12 hours a day - for you to access the facility independently during your booked times. And all booking is done through our app (no awful back and forth emails to get your dog booked in) and members receive a door code to let themselves in for their appointments.

We built in large buffers between appointments, so your dog’s swim minutes are spent in the pool.

And let you book in 20-minute increments, so you can tailor the time to what your dog needs.

Then we included everything you need - just bring your pup!

When you’re here, we have the life jackets, water toys, and clean towels covered.

You’ve seen what Splash offers: a safe, year-round space, built for dogs like yours to swim, play, and thrive.

But here’s the thing—Splash isn’t a drop-in pool. It’s a members-only club, designed for dogs who love swimming and want regular access to it.

Membership is how we keep the pool safe, clean, and available only to people who share the same commitment: giving their dogs the best life possible.

So the next step is simple:

Membership starts at $169 per month.

We’ll review your application, and if your dog is a good fit, you’ll join an exclusive community of dogs and their humans.

Because your dog deserves more than the occasional swim.

They deserve a space built for them.
