ALL DOGS CAN SWIM, RIGHT?

Well, kind of…

If your dog falls off of your paddle board in the middle of the lake, there’s a good chance that their survival instinct would kick in and their legs would flail in a way that would keep them afloat.

But, here’s the thing - for dogs that haven’t swam before, that fight or flight feeling is now associated with swimming. And water. And the paddle board.

Suddenly, they’re terrified to head out on the lake with you and they anxiously avoid water, putting a major damper on your summer adventures.

But, much like how we teach kids how to become comfortable with water before something scary happens, we can do the same thing with dogs (and nah, we’re not doing that thing where we drag the dog in by its lifejacket and force it to swim, kind of like Uncle Hank did to the kids back in the 80’s).

We want dogs that feel confident around water!

Dogs that feel comfy with the floating feeling, can push off with their hind legs, and paddle in a way that doesn’t look completely panicked.

So, our instructor uses props, treats, and toys to teach each of those components to your dog, before they head out on the wide open lake!

If you would like to build confidence before something scary happens, book a private session with one of our instructors to give your dog the skills they need.

Once you book in, we’ll send you a confirmation email with details and a short list of a few things to bring with you. During your private session, they will get to work one-on-one with one of our instructors to build these skills and their joy for water. Your dog will always be the only dog in the facility, so they are suitable for dogs that wouldn’t be comfortable with other dogs around.

Private sessions are open to both members and the general public.

Suitable for dogs 4+ months.
