DOGGO MATH
Your dog has 75 seconds (or 90 seconds for small, baby, and veteran dogs) to collect as many points as possible!
We’ll have 12 facility-provided ring toys in the pool, all worth a different unknown point value. When time starts, your dog will begin retrieving as many toys as possible and bring them to the handler. At the end of the designated time, all toys retrieved will be calculated. The highest score wins!
In the event of a tie, the dogs that are tied will compete in a tie-breaker. They will have thirty seconds each (35 for small, baby, and veteran dogs) to retrieve just one toy each. The first toy that they return to their handler will be their new point value for the tie breaker.
Each toy can be retrieved once per dog and will be put back into the pool at the end of the dog’s turn.
POOL NOODLE DODGE
If your dog can successfully weave through pool noodles and retrieve one tossed toy, in the least time possible, they’ll be crowned the Pool Noodle Dodge champion!
We’ll place 15 pool noodles in the pool (12 for small, baby and veteran dogs) and the handler will toss a toy out past the 25’ mark. Time will start when your dog’s last foot leaves the ramp and stop when the toy crosses the 10’ mark.
If the toss is short of 25’, and the dog has already left the ramp, the handler can toss another toy. If the dog retrieves the first toy and passes the 10’ mark, time will stop and they will be scored as incomplete. If the dog retrieves the second toy that was far enough and crosses the 10’ mark with that toy, time will stop and the retrieve will count.
If the toss is short of 25’, and the dog has not yet left the ramp, the handler can ask that the toy be scooped out of the water and then they may throw a second toy.
Maximum time allowed is 60 seconds.
PICK ME!
In this timed event, earn points during your turn and others! At the beginning of the event, each competitor will choose a facility-provided toy from the toy bin that will remain as their toy throughout the game.
The goal is to choose the toy that the most dogs want to retrieve. Competitors will stand around the edge of the pool and toss their toys in before each dog’s turn.
Dogs will have 60 seconds (or 75 seconds for small, baby, and veteran dogs) to retrieve as many toys as possible, earning points for each toy retrieved. And if they retrieve your toy, you accumulate points too!
FINDERS KEEPERS
We’re turning the pool into a big ol’ prize bin full of a variety of fun, new water toys. Dogs will be drawn in random order, jump into the pool, and choose one of the toys to retrieve and take home with them! Every dog is guaranteed a toy of their own in this game.
We’ll separate the smalls and the bigs on this game to allow them to grab a toy that suits their size.
IN THE ZONE
Use your 75 seconds (or 90 seconds for small, baby, and veteran dogs) to retrieve as many toys as possible, earning points for each toy retrieved. Strategically toss them in zones to maximize your point total in the time allotted.
TEAM COMPETITION
Create a team of 4 dogs and join our overall team competition! Each dog on a team can earn points from each event they complete.
The winning team will be announced at the end of the event.
If you don’t have a team, or not quite enough dogs to round out a team, enter the team competition and we will create a team for you!
